about
As the birthplace of Titanic, Belfast has had a thriving shipbuilding business in the past and been
able to keep most of its citizens employed.
However, through time and change of the world, the production was declined, despite the industry's
survival of two world wars.
With their last boat fully built in Belfast slipping into the sea in 2003, the shipyard has closed down.
The city's effort to turn the shipyard area into an Titanic-themed amusement quarter has not
succeeded, leaving a halfway built experience park and a shopping center.
The sounds used in the track 'Water of Belfast' are field recordings in and around this area now called 'Titanic Quarter.'
